Research-blend comparison

BPC-157 vs KLOW: single peptide vs four-peptide research blend

BPC-157 is a single 15-amino-acid research peptide. KLOW is a community-named four-peptide research blend reported to contain BPC-157 + TB-500 + GHK-Cu + KPV in one vial. This page compares what each one is, how each is documented, and the analytical workload that follows from one-peptide vs four-peptide composition. Composition statements only. No biological-effect claims. Research use only.

The composition values below reflect how each product is commonly named across community sources. Per-vial amounts vary by vendor, so masses are intentionally omitted. Verify per-component mass on the vendor COA.

The components

  • BPC-157: 15-residue synthetic pentadecapeptide, sequence GEPPPGKPADDAGLV, CAS 137525-51-0, PubChem CID 108101. Dedicated page: BPC-157 reference.
  • TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4): the Wolverine lot CoA identifies the second peptide as Thymosin Beta-4 (UniProt P62328). Dedicated page: TB-500 reference.
  • GHK-Cu: copper tripeptide-1, a complex of Gly-His-Lys (GHK, CAS 49557-75-7) with a copper(II) ion. Named here for identity only.
  • KPV: the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val, the C-terminal tripeptide of α-MSH. Named here for identity only.

Analytical complexity

A single-peptide BPC-157 vial has one expected HPLC peak and one expected molecular mass; identity and purity reporting are straightforward. A four-peptide blend has four expected peaks and four expected masses. In particular:

  • HPLC resolution. Four main peaks must be resolved from each other and from any impurity peak. Per-component purity is reported per peak, not for the whole vial.
  • MS identity. Four distinct molecular masses must appear. The GHK-Cu copper adduct can carry a characteristic mass shift relative to uncomplexed GHK.
  • Chromatogram risk. More peaks in a crowded trace mean more opportunity for mis-identification; the published COA should annotate which peak maps to which peptide.

Storage differences

Both a single-peptide BPC-157 vial and a four-peptide blend follow the baseline lyophilized SOP (dry, cold, dark, sealed; see lyophilized peptide storage). The copper-containing component in a KLOW-style blend adds a constraint: the copper complex is sensitive to reducing agents and chelators, and the color of the lyophilized cake and the reconstituted solution carry information about the complex. Follow any supplier storage note that specifies metal-free labware for the copper-containing blends.

Frequently asked questions

What is BPC-157?

BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid pentadecapeptide (sequence GEPPPGKPADDAGLV; CAS 137525-51-0; PubChem CID 108101). "BPC" stands for Body Protection Compound. It is a research chemical for in vitro laboratory work.

What is KLOW?

KLOW is a community-named research-peptide blend reported to contain four peptides in one vial: BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu and KPV. The per-vial amount of each component varies by vendor and should be verified on the vendor COA.

What is the difference between BPC-157 and KLOW?

BPC-157 is a single peptide. KLOW is a four-peptide combination that includes BPC-157 plus TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4), GHK-Cu and KPV. The difference is composition (one peptide per vial vs four), not a biological-effect claim.

Does this site sell KLOW?

No. This site covers the two-peptide Wolverine Blend (BPC-157 + TB-500) only. KLOW is named here for composition comparison; whether a specific supplier lists it is a separate question the reader should check directly with that supplier.

How is a four-peptide vial tested for identity?

By the same methods used on a single-peptide vial (HPLC for purity and mass spectrometry for identity), but the chromatogram must resolve four main peaks and the MS must observe four expected molecular masses. A copper-complexed component (GHK-Cu) has different HPLC/UV behavior than an uncomplexed peptide.
