Research-blend comparison

Wolverine vs GLOW vs KLOW peptide blends: what is in each

Three named research-peptide blends appear across community discussion of multi-peptide vials: Wolverine (BPC-157 + TB-500), GLOW (BPC-157 + TB-500 + GHK-Cu) and KLOW (BPC-157 + TB-500 + GHK-Cu + KPV). This page describes the composition of each, the extra analytical complexity introduced by three- and four-peptide vials, and the storage differences. This site covers the Wolverine blend only. Research use only.

Composition compared

Composition descriptions below reflect how each blend is commonly named across community sources. Specific per-vial amounts vary by vendor, so masses are intentionally omitted from this table; verify the per-component mass on the supplier COA for whichever product is sourced.

Shared components: BPC-157 and TB-500

All three blends share BPC-157 (synthetic pentadecapeptide, sequence GEPPPGKPADDAGLV, CAS 137525-51-0; PubChem CID 108101) and TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4). The Wolverine lot CoA identifies TB-500 as Thymosin Beta-4 (UniProt P62328). See the BPC-157 vs TB-500 page for a side-by-side identity table of just those two.

Added components: GHK-Cu and KPV

  • GHK-Cu (copper tripeptide-1). A 1:1 complex of the tripeptide Gly-His-Lys (GHK, CAS 49557-75-7) with a copper(II) ion. The complex itself is a characteristic blue color in the lyophilized or dissolved form. Identity only; this page does not describe any use.
  • KPV (Lys-Pro-Val). A tripeptide, the C-terminal tripeptide of α-MSH (α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone). Identity only; this page does not describe any use.

Analytical complexity: 2 vs 3 vs 4 peptides

Each additional component in the vial makes the analytical readout more demanding:

  • HPLC must resolve n main peaks for an n-peptide vial. A copper-complexed peak (GHK-Cu) has different retention and UV behavior than an uncomplexed peptide.
  • Mass spectrometry must observe n expected molecular masses (plus the Cu adduct for the copper-complexed peak). More peaks in the chromatogram mean more possible identity confusions.
  • Per-component purity is reported per peak, not for the whole vial.

See the purity testing methods explainer for how HPLC and MS numbers are produced on a research peptide COA.

Storage differences

The lyophilized blends share the same baseline SOP (dry, cold, dark, sealed; see storage and handling), but the copper-containing blends (GLOW, KLOW) carry an extra constraint: the copper complex can change color on reconstitution and is sensitive to reducing agents and chelators. Any supplier storage note that specifies metal-free labware or a particular solvent for the copper-containing blends should be followed as written.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between GLOW and KLOW peptide blends?

As described in community sources, GLOW is a research-peptide blend of GHK-Cu, BPC-157 and TB-500. KLOW is the same combination with KPV added: GHK-Cu + BPC-157 + TB-500 + KPV. The exact per-vial composition (mass of each component, additional excipients) varies by vendor and should be verified on the vendor COA.

What is the difference between Wolverine and GLOW?

Wolverine is a two-peptide blend of BPC-157 and TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4). GLOW adds a third peptide, GHK-Cu, to that pair. Neither composition is universal. The exact per-vial amounts and formulation vary by vendor and should be verified on the vendor COA.

What is in the Wolverine blend?

Two peptides: BPC-157 (a 15-amino-acid pentadecapeptide) and TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4), supplied together in one lyophilized vial: BPC-157 10 mg + TB-500 10 mg per vial (20 mg total labeled content). See the Wolverine stack explainer.

What is GHK-Cu?

GHK-Cu is copper tripeptide-1: a complex of the tripeptide Gly-His-Lys (GHK, CAS 49557-75-7) with a copper(II) ion. The complex is distinct in color (characteristic blue) and in storage sensitivity from uncomplexed peptides. Identity only; this page does not describe any use.

What is KPV?

KPV is the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val, the C-terminal tripeptide of α-MSH (α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone). Identity only; this page does not describe any use.
