Research-blend comparison

Wolverine vs GLOW: two-peptide blend vs three-peptide blend

Wolverine is a two-peptide research blend of BPC-157 + TB-500, lyophilized in one vial at BPC-157 10 mg + TB-500 10 mg per vial (20 mg total labeled content). GLOW is a community-named three-peptide blend that adds GHK-Cu to that pair. This page compares what each one contains, how documentation and analytical testing differ, and the storage caveats introduced by a copper-complexed component. Composition statements only. No biological-effect claims. Research use only.

Composition at a glance

Composition reflects how each blend is commonly named across community sources. Per-vial amounts vary by vendor, so masses are intentionally omitted. Verify per-component mass on the vendor COA.

The components

  • BPC-157: 15-residue synthetic pentadecapeptide, sequence GEPPPGKPADDAGLV, CAS 137525-51-0; reference.
  • TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4): the Wolverine lot CoA identifies the second peptide as Thymosin Beta-4 (UniProt P62328). Dedicated page: TB-500 reference.
  • GHK-Cu: copper tripeptide-1, a complex of Gly-His-Lys (GHK, CAS 49557-75-7) with a copper(II) ion. Added in GLOW; not present in Wolverine.

Documentation

A combined-vial research peptide carries one certificate of analysis that lists each component. The Wolverine COA covers two peptides. A GLOW COA covers three. The extra component means an extra expected HPLC peak and an extra expected molecular mass on the same report. See the batch documentation page for the Wolverine layout; the GLOW COA layout is a vendor-specific document that the GLOW supplier publishes separately.

Analytical complexity

  • HPLC. Wolverine → two expected main peaks. GLOW → three expected main peaks, with GHK-Cu typically showing different retention and UV behavior than the uncomplexed peptides because of the copper complex. The method must resolve all expected peaks from each other and from impurity peaks.
  • Mass spectrometry. One extra expected molecular mass for GLOW, with a copper adduct shift for the GHK-Cu peak.
  • Reported purity. Per peak, not per vial.

Storage and labware caveats

Both lyophilized blends follow the baseline SOP (dry, cold, dark, sealed; see lyophilized peptide storage and the product-specific storage & handling page for Wolverine). The copper-containing component in GLOW adds two constraints to watch:

  • Metal-sensitive labware. Copper complexes are sensitive to reducing agents and chelators; follow any supplier storage note that specifies metal-free labware for GLOW.
  • Color as a signal. GHK-Cu is a characteristic blue on reconstitution. A sudden change in color on a GLOW vial can report redox activity on the copper complex.

Frequently asked questions

What is Wolverine?

Wolverine (also called the Wolverine Blend, the Wolverine stack, or the Wolverine peptide) is a two-peptide research blend of BPC-157 and TB-500, lyophilized in a single vial with BPC-157 10 mg + TB-500 10 mg per vial (20 mg total labeled content). Research use only.

What is GLOW?

GLOW is a community-named research-peptide blend reported to contain three peptides in one vial: BPC-157, TB-500 and GHK-Cu. Per-vial amounts vary by vendor and should be verified on the vendor COA.

What is the difference between Wolverine and GLOW?

Composition. Wolverine is two peptides (BPC-157 + TB-500). GLOW adds a third peptide, GHK-Cu, to that pair. The difference is a composition choice; this page makes no biological-effect claim about either blend.

Does this site sell GLOW?

No. This site covers the two-peptide Wolverine Blend only. GLOW is named here for composition comparison; whether a specific supplier lists it is a separate question the reader should check directly with that supplier.

Does adding GHK-Cu change the testing workflow?

Yes. GHK-Cu is a copper complex, so its HPLC retention and UV behavior differ from an uncomplexed peptide, and its mass-spectrometry signature includes the copper adduct. A GLOW COA should resolve three main HPLC peaks and show three expected molecular masses.
